 Sports and Recreational Structures

Recreational structures present their own unique challenges. Roof spans are often very large and must be devoid of intermediate supports; seating must be designed for the dynamic loads that occur when a crowd moves in unison; member connections subject to repeated loadings must be designed for fatigue of the base material. A 7000 seat temporary stadium for the Federation Cup Tennis tournament in 1987.
